In 2007, Bodnar took on a new challenge as the social media marketing manager at Howard, Merrell & Partners. It was in this role that he developed a deep understanding of the role of social media in B2B marketing, leading him to publish a book on the topic in 2010, titled "The B2B Social Media Book." In addition to his work at Howard, Merrell & Partners, Bodnar also founded his own company, Social Media B2B, where he regularly spoke on B2B marketing topics. He also served as an advisor at InsightSquared and Simply Measured in 2013 and 2014, further expanding his expertise in the field.
In 2010, Bodnar joined Hubspot as an inbound marketing strategist for B2B. He quickly moved up the ranks, becoming the director of marketing in 2012 and the vice president of marketing for demand generation in 2014. Finally, in 2015, he was promoted to the role of CMO.
